The Jewish Federation of Greater Harrisburg was formed in 2002 through the consolidation of
the United Jewish Community of Greater Harrisburg and the Jewish Community Center. The
Federation serves as the central communal organization that promotes and advances the quality
and values of Jewish life in Greater Harrisburg. The Federation exists to provide an efficient,
effective umbrella organization that helps to unify, anticipate and meet the needs of the Greater
Harrisburg Jewish community. The Federation is committed to the unity of the Jewish people,
strengthening the State of Israel and meeting the needs of world Jewry.
The Jewish Federation’s Annual Campaign, Jewish Community Center, Community Relations Council, Community Review, Sababa (Harrisburg Hebrew High School), and Rabbinic Advisory Council and the Shalom Directory are integral parts of the Federation.
