Morton Spector

 

Our Dad grew up in Williamsport, PA. He attended Cornell University and served in the US Army in Korea in 1952-53. In 1998 he retired from our family business D & H Distributing Company as Treasurer and Chairperson of the Board. He and son Harry co-founded Design House Kitchens & Appliances, LLC. His commitment to improving the local community and Israel is inspiring to all of us. Over the years he served as President of many organizations; Israel Bonds, Jewish Federation, AIPAC, Jewish Community Center, United Jewish Appeal, Jewish Home, Jewish National Fund, Silver Academy, Silver Academy Foundation, Anti-Defamation League, Homeland Center, Dauphin County Library System, Harrisburg Public Schools Foundation, Salvation Army, Boy Scouts, Boys and Girls Club, Retired Senior Volunteer Program, United Way, Crime Stoppers of Dauphin County, and many other nonprofits organizations as a Board Member or Trustee. He insured growth and endurance of valuable institutions of learning and social services. He led a life of good deeds, Tzedakah.
