These are just a few of the areas where you can learn, experience, grow, and connect with Federation this Fall through our new slate of programming for all ages. Keep reading for our exciting slate of upcoming classes and special programs this season - register now and tell a friend!

And there's more still to come! Additional programs like PJ Library, cultural and holiday programming, Senior Adult Club programming and other special events will be announced throughout the season.

SUNDAY SPORTS ON THE GREEN

Our Monday Rec Club is designed to provide kids with a fun, active, and engaging experience through a variety of outdoor sports and games.  All of our activities are designed to promote teamwork, coordination, physical fitness, and – of course – FUN!

ELLIE GOLDENBERG THEATRE PROGRAM
PRESENTS YOUTH AUDITION WORKSHOP

Our workshop is designed to help kids prepare for performance auditions. Highlights include: audition techniques, performance skills, voice and movement. 

We create a positive and encouraging atmosphere where every child feels valued and supported. Our goal is to build confidence and inspire a love for performing arts.

GIRLS ON THE RUN

Calling all girls!  This is a fun, evidence-based program that encourages girls to build their confidence, kindness and decision making skills. The season of training leads up to a final 5K run at HACC.

Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced crafter, this class offers something for everyone.  Led by Shinshinim, young emissaries from Israel, this class incorporates cultural elements and traditional crafts from Israel.

EDWARD S. FINKELSTEIN HARRISBURG JEWISH FILM FESTIVAL PRESENTS PAPERCLIPS

Film Festival opens its 30th season with a 20th anniversary screening of the multi-award-winning film Paper Clips, which tells the story of middle school Tennessee students whose study of the Holocaust brought them national, then international attention.

Join us for the screening of SUPERNOVA: The Music Festival Massacre, brought to you by the Jewish National Fund-USA. You will also hear how the JNF has been meeting the needs of every affected community - yesterday, today, and tomorrows to come. From our very own “Jewish Culture Worker,” Susan Leviton, This presentation will take you on a culinary tour of each of the food groups as found in Yiddish song, from varnishkes to gefilte fish, and from homentaschen to chicken – a bit heavy on the starches, I admit!  There’s plenty of musical wine and whiskey to wash it all down, too! Bring your oldest Jewish recipes or cookbooks to share!

COMMUNITY CONVERSATION:
UKRAINE & RUSSIA WAR

Join us for an insightful presentation by on the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine. Alan G. Stolberg, Ph.D., will provide a comprehensive overview of the historical, political, and social factors that have contributed to the conflict, as well as its current state and potential future developments.

CREATE A HANDMADE BOOK
WITH SUSAN LEVITON

Tuesday, December 10
7 - 9pm at Grass Campus


Each workshop participant will learn a bit about traditional bookbinding by creating a simple hand sewn signature with a decorative cover, inside leaf and personalized binding cords. 

These books make wonderful journals or small photo albums. Bring some favorite poetry or anything you may want to begin to populate your book! All materials will be provided, but you may wish to bring some bits of decorative papers, ribbons, or other delightful additions of your own.
