What do I need to do before entering the JCC?
For the health and safety of our members, all participants must complete this waiver before entering the facility. You will only need to complete the form on your initial visit back to the JCC.
What new safety procedures are in place for entering the JCC?
All exercise-related visits will need to be scheduled using our online forms for the fitness center and indoor pool. Capacity is limited and no walk-ins will be permitted.
Each time you enter the facility, you will need to have your temperature taken and answer a series of health questions. If you have a fever of over 100 degrees or you appear to be ill, you will not be admitted into the building and will not be permitted to return or make reservations for at least three days. We need your assistance keeping everyone healthy. If you have a fever, please do not endanger fellow members by taking a fever reducing medication to relieve this symptom.
Do I need to wear a mask in the building?
All individuals will be required to wear masks at all times while visiting the JCC. All employees will wear masks when in common areas of the JCC.
Who is permitted in the JCC? Can I bring guests or kids?
Only members are permitted -- No guests are allowed in the JCC at this time. No children under 14 will be allowed to enter the fitness center or pool (unless during a family swim block or for swim lessons).
Should I quarantine before visiting the JCC?
Anybody who has been in close contact with someone with COVID-19 should quarantine for two weeks prior to returning to the JCC. In addition, please consult the PA Department of Health's current COVID-19 information for travelers for up-to-date info on quaranting after traveling.
What is being done to promote a clean and safe environment inside the JCC?
We have the following sanitation procedures in place at this time:
Will staff and members be notified if someone who was at the JCC has contracted, or suspects that they have contracted COVID-19, and how will this be handled?
We will follow Pennsylvania Department of Health protocols for notification, cleaning, closures, and reopening. If you suspect you have contracted COVID-19 and have been at the JCC within the previous 72 hours, please notify Jenn Ross so we can determine with DOH if contact tracing and confidential notification needs to occur.
How should I enter the JCC campus?
Anyone walking to the JCC must use the Bergner Street entrance between the hours of 7am – 9am and 4pm – 6pm so as not to disrupt arrival and dismissal of the ELC. Otherwise, you may enter the campus as you normally would using either Vaughn or Bergner Streets.
